In advance: Before the activity, ask Dad to secretly complete the questionnaire on the back. Seal his answers in a top-secret envelope.
Faith Talk: To begin, give each family member a copy of the questions. How would Dad answer these questions? Record your thoughts. Once completed, share and compare your answers. Dad should not reveal his responses at this time but should listen intently. After discussion is completed for each section, Dad can reveal his answers. Each member of the family earns one point for every matched response. Recognize Dad’s positive attributes during your discussion time and thank him for the regular investment he makes in your family. Award a grand prize to the highest scoring child: a date night with Dad for dinner or ice cream, a park adventure, or other special outing celebrating the sacrifice Dad makes regularly. Also, recognize the special influence Dad has had on each person.
