Prayer

We believe that fervent prayer is essential to experiencing spiritual awakening. Every great movement of God has been preceded by prayer. When we, as a church, pray fervently like it matters, we will become a catalyst for spiritual awakening in Memphis and beyond.

I've always been the one who helped everyone with no one really there for me unless they wanted something. Earlier this year, I was injured at work and after 6 months of worker's comp "neglect" (for lack of a better word), they denied my claim. I am still in excruciating pain almost daily with C5,6,7 and shoulder injuries that radiate to my hand causing numbness and tingling to the point that I almost have no quality of life. Earlier this month I fell and hit my face really hard, which could have been a concussion, but as best I can tell, I have no broken bones or teeth; just a gash, bruising and pain. I've always been very active until the summer injury. On top of which, I recently moved to a new location due to my previous landlord's neglect, and now a month later, he still has not returned my $2,350 security deposit. I knew it would be difficult to get him to return it and I've contacted him several times. He always has an excuse. Now going forward into my senior years, and not having been one who has been taken advantage of in the past, with the injury, medical and financial issues and no children, I am very concerned about what I will face in the future. I have no real retirement to speak of, and don't plan to retire either, but jobs are hard to come by and everything is unaffordable these days. I just can't seem to get ahead and am praying to know God's will in all of this.
