Reading through the entire Bible chronologically can seem impossible, especially if you’re trying to go through it alone. However, if you join in with a group of people who are on the same path and have the same goal, then the task of reading through the Bible is more doable. At Bellevue there are multiple opportunities to dive into a group to receive encouragement and accountability as you journey through the Chronological Bible this year.
Life Groups
Life Groups are one of the easiest ways to have accountability as you read along the Chronological Bible! These weekly groups are designed to help you build community with others in your same stage of life. Each week on Sundays, adult Life Groups gather to talk in depth about one of the stories from the previous week’s reading. There are even a few Home Groups that meet throughout the week, and on Wednesdays, Next Gen students learn important lessons from daily readings that meet them where they are.
Chapel Service: Finding Jesus in the Old Testament
For this semester’s Wednesday night Chapel service, we’re finding Jesus in the Old Testament as we read the Chronological Bible! Together we’ll see how the Lord began to weave His plan of redemption for His creation in the Old Testament. Jesus has been the answer to our salvation from the moment that sin entered the world through the fall of man. From the very beginning, God had a plan for us. And whether we realize it or not, every piece of Scripture points to Jesus Christ—His birth, His ministry, His death and resurrection.
Bellevue Men: Men of the Bible
This spring Bellevue Men will be following along the Chronological Bible readings as they study men of the Bible! In Scripture there are countless times when God used strong, faithful, and obedient men. But God also used apathetic, unfaithful, and disobedient men. By doing so He shows us His great mercy and power. In this study there will be a focus on a different man from each week’s Chronological Bible reading and one characteristic of that man, good or bad, that we can learn from. Whether you’re learning how to be obedient like Moses or how to avoid the apathy of Adam, this Bible study will give you a well-rounded view of godly manhood as you read the Chronological Bible.
One Year Chronological Bible Discipleship Groups
Looking for a more intimate setting? Try a One Year Chronological Bible Discipleship Group! In one of these groups, you’ll meet weekly with one to three other people so you can grow in your walk with God and become more like Jesus as you read the Chronological Bible. You can share what God is revealing to you, receive prayer, and learn from the unique perspective of God’s Word with a few other believers.
At Bellevue there are so many opportunities to receive encouragement and have accountability as we journey through the Chronological Bible together. From top to bottom, Sunday through Saturday, our church is discovering the whole story of God’s Word!
