Prayer. The Lord demonstrates to us through His Word the power that prayer has in our lives. As we raise our praise and petitions to Him, we are demonstrating our faith that He hears and cares for us.
Community. As we navigate life’s inevitable and complex challenges, a Godly and supportive community is often how God shows us His faithfulness. When we are weak, He is strong, and His people fulfill the law of Christ and “bear one another’s burdens” (Galatians 6:2).
Jehovah Rapha. The God of healing. Luke 5:20 says, “Seeing their faith, He [Jesus] said, ‘Friend, your sins are forgiven you.’” Jesus saw the faith of the men carrying their friend who was paralyzed, and He healed the man.
Jesus is Jehovah Rapha, God of healing.
Nancy Clark, a Bellevue member, suffered from a severe case of COVID-19 in the fall of 2021 and spent three weeks in the hospital. As Nancy and her doctors fought for her life, so did her Life Group. Nancy is a member of Steve Williams’ Life Group, and they rallied around her in devoted, constant prayer; they were even able to host a Zoom call to pray for her.
“What an incredible blessing it was during my sickness to know that there were like-minded believers beseeching the Lord on my behalf, especially when I was not able to do so for myself,” she shared. “We are incredibly grateful for the Life Group the Lord has given us!”
Nancy has recovered from COVID-19 and is back attending her Life Group. Praise God for testimonies of healing, faith, community, and the power of prayer. Members of groups have a chance to receive and provide this type of support and encouragement!
